Welcome back Movie Nerds! Join us this week for two amazing comedies, Raising Arizona (1987), and The Heat (2013). Shelley will be covering the Coen Brothers classic, Raising Arizona, starring Nic Cage and Holly Hunter about a hapless grifter who falls in love with a police officer who consistently books him into jail. Together they get mixed up in a wild kidnapping scheme that goes hilariously sideways. Andra will be covering Paul Fieg’s masterpiece, The Heat, starring Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock about an FBI agent who teams up with an unorthodox police officer in taking down a drug ring.
